What People Say About Us

Diana L.
“My son was a patient for one year until a place that fit his could better fit his specific needs. The staff was really helpful and willing to learn about his Huntington’s Disease. The care he got was given with his best interest in mind. When it was time to transition to his new place, they were helpful with paperwork and all his information transferred to the new place. I will always speak highly of the staff that are the longtime people that are there for the patients.”

Debbie C.
“My husband has been a resident at vantage of hampden for about six months. He is happy and settled in well. The staff are friendly and happy to answer and help with any questions that I’ve had.”

“My brother is in this rehab, from medical issues he recently encountered. This is not a five star motel. He’s there to get well enough to go home asap.
This facility knows what they’re doing. My brother is showing daily improvement and has a positive attitude thanks to the great care he’s receiving.
And by the way, the entire staff, from the women at the desk as you come in, to the people that are mopping the floors, are all doing it with smiles on their faces, and are so friendly and compassionate!
Thank you Vantage, for taking such exceptional care of my brother!”

Kathy L.
“My mom was able to be treated in the rehab to gain her strength back after fallen ill. Mom stayed there for about 2weeks before moving to the Alzheimer’s unit, still receiving rehab daily.
As everyone would think nothing is too good for their mom, this place was exceptional, from the entertainment, activities, and therapy to the professional staff, management, nurses, aids, and everyone that made mom feel welcome.
We now know a great place for mom, if the need is ever again.
Thank you all!”

“My family and I are very pleased with the care my mother is receiving. The Staff is wonderful and very attentive towards the care given to my mother. They are very compassionate with their whole team approach and also very supportive to the family and our feelings.”

“I recently stayed at Vantage of Hampden for rehab for a few weeks after surgery. I immediately felt welcomed and was Very Well taken care from the time I was being checked in to the time I was discharged! I found everyone who worked there to be professional, compassionate and friendly; from admission to nurses, CNAs, therapy and housekeeping. Everything was always clean and well kept. The nursing staff was caring, skilled and gentle; especially when I needed dressing changes twice a day. The physical and occupational therapy staff were welcoming and motivated. Members of my family were welcomed when coming to visit. There were activities and/or entertainment available daily that I was welcome to take part in. I am thankful for the care I was given and without hesitation highly recommend Vantage of Hampden.”

“My dad was recently at Vantage-Hampden for a short rehab after his discharge from a hospital stay – he had the most attentive care given to him! From Nina – the CNA, to PT/OT – Andrew, Chris & Sarah, and every other staff member that cared for my dad, all so accommodating! And when arranging for his stay the Director of Nursing, Rachael, made the transition seamless! The staff at Vantage-Hampden was always asking & listening, being certain to make sure my dad was happy & comfortable while he was a patient at Vantage!”

John S.
“Our Mom was a resident for over two years with dementia and little physical mobility. While there, the care and respect that was given to her was top notch. Although the facility might be considered a bit outdated as compared to some newer facilities, it is the staff that really counts. I was very comfortable in knowing she being well cared for and very safe at all times. I would not hesitate to have your loved one become a resident there!”

Michelle A.
“My mom was at Vantage, she passed in March 2025.You hear a lot of horrible stories concerning Nursing Homes. I won’t lie I was scared but the staff was amazing. The girls in the front entrance remembered our names and always had I kind word about mom. The nursing staff everyone I came in contact with was helpful and understanding. My mom had dementia, and it was a learning experience. but everybody there was helpful up until the very last day when my mom passed, people came in the room from all members staff with concern and empathy. it may not look like an amazing facility, but what it lacks an appearance it has in staff they care and respect that they give every person that they deal with is I hight recommend. But most of all I Thank them for the care of my mom(Cecelia).”

Elizabeth B.
“My mom was at Vantage Hampden for almost 4 weeks after having a series of setbacks following a recent surgery. All I can say is the staff from nursing to rehab to social services were wonderful!! My mom was not an easy patient, but the care, kindness, and compassion she received was excellent. If we as the family had any questions, we were not treated as a bother or quickly dismissed. The staff was attentive and provided the answers and support we needed. We are grateful we picked the right place for her!”
